Why owners do it
Hoses running along the boom and arm take hits from rocks, branches and the bucket. Sleeves and guards make a burst hose much less likely.
What is involved
- Fit spiral wrap or a fabric sleeve over exposed hose runs.
- Add or adjust hose clamps so hoses cannot rub through at full travel.
- Check routing through full boom, arm and swing movement.

Check before you start
- Move each function through its full range slowly after fitting to check nothing is pinched.
